You're Invited to the Fans' State of the League Tomorrow

November 23, 2012 - Canadian Football League (CFL) News Release

First and foremost, thank you for your continued support of the CFL, our teams and the Grey Cup.

It's been an exciting season, and I can't believe we are already entering the playoffs this weekend. The next three weeks are going to be an amazing celebration of our league and I hope to see you on the road to the 100th Grey Cup.

As I have been travelling the country this year, I have had the opportunity to talk with so many of you. It's always great to talk and listen to your feedback and answer your questions. One question that has been frequently asked is whether I will be hosting a Fans' State of the League during Grey Cup week once again this year. The answer is - absolutely. This event is a highlight on my annual calendar, and I am especially looking forward to it this year.

At this time, I would like to officially invite you to the Fans' State of the League. The event will take place at the Fairmont Royal York Hotel in downtown Toronto. And new to this year, we will be holding the event on Saturday - in hopes even more of our fans can join us. It will start at 11:30am, and of course, the Grey Cup trophy will be there - so please bring your cameras (or phones).

This year has been a true celebration of our league and our country, and the bond they have shared for 100 years. But it's also an opportunity to thank the people who have made our league what it is today - strong, vibrant and positioned well for a bright future. So please come join me for this event, and participate in as many Grey Cup festivities as you can. You deserve to enjoy this celebration, and I would welcome the opportunity to personally thank you for your ongoing support.

See you on the road to the 100th Grey Cup.

Sincerely, Mark Cohon

CFL Commissioner
