July 17, 2018 - World TeamTennis (WTT) News Release


There are no World TeamTennis matches scheduled for Tuesday, July 17. Competition resumes on Wednesday, July 18 with all teams in action. The 43rd season of World TeamTennis presented by GEICO runs July 15-August 2, with the top two teams advancing to the WTT Finals on Sunday, August 5.

The Philadelphia Freedoms and the Washington Kastles are off to strong starts as the only undefeated teams after their first two matches. The Freedoms, led by Taylor Townsend, are currently in first place in women's singles (.714), women's doubles (.625) and mixed doubles (.588). Townsend has won 10 of 14 games in her women's singles matches.
