
WSRN's Coverage Rolls on Monday

Sports Radio Network's (WSRN) live and exclusive coverage of the National Wormen's Basketball League continues Monday afternoon as Stacey Thomas and the Grand Rapids Blizzard pay a visit to the Mohegan Sun Arena to face off against Swin Cash and the Springfield Spirit.
WSRN's webcast, which can be accessed from Sports Radio Network's official website http://www.sportsradionet.com, will get underway at 3:30 EST with a 30-minute pre-game show, preceding the NWBL match-up.
The Spirit (3-0) has opened the 2003 campaign with three straight victories over the Tennessee Fury (97-87), Chicago Blaze (87-79) and the Birmingham Power (72-69) receiving strong play from a pair of University of Connecticut graduates. Point guard Sue Bird has scored 45 points and dished out 30 assists in the three wins, while small forward Cash has poured in a team-high 61 points, including a 25-point, 10-rebound performance against the Blaze on Thursday.
The Blizzard (1-0) opened their NWBL doors with a 72-67 victory over Chicago last Friday evening. Thomas led five Blizzard players in double figures with 18, while former LSU graduate Elaine Powell chipped in with 13.
Rob Goldenberg will handle the play-by-play duties while Alon Avital will provide color commentary.
Sports Radio Network's NWBL coverage will return on Sunday, March 9 as Becky Hammon, Semeka Randall and the Tennessee Fury travel to the Windy City to square off against Dominique Canty, E.C. Hill and the Chicago Blaze. WSRN's coverage will begin at 6 p.m. EST with a 30-minute pre-game show, followed by game action.
