
Wright and Armbruester Earn WCL's Moss Adams Weekly Honors

The West Coast League's Moss Adams Player of the Week and Pitcher of the Week, as announced by league commissioner Rob Neyer, are Maryland senior-to-be infielder Taylor Wright of the Kelowna Falcons and Pacific Lutheran sophomore-to-be pitcher Justin Armbruester of the Bellingham Bells for the week of June 18-24.
Wright went 12-for-24 for the Falcons with 7 runs, 3 stolen bases, 2 homers and 9 RBIs. For the summer, Taylor is hitting .304 with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs.
This past spring, Wright hit .230 over 44 starts, and stole 11 bases, blasted 9 doubles and two homers, and collected 25 RBIs for the Terrapins.
Armbruester only gave up one hit over two relief appearances including a 4-inning stint at Cowlitz where he was credited the win. Justin did not allow a run, walked one and struck out 8 for the week.
As a frosh at PLU, Armbruester went 5-3 and struck out 62 over 66.1 innings pitched.
Justin currently has posted the league's lowest ERA at 0.47 over 5 appearances and 19.1 innings, including 2 starts; and he's struck out 32 batters this summer.
