Women's Football Gets Spiked

Published on September 4, 2003 under National Women's Football Association (NWFA) News Release

Nashville, TN-The National Women's Football Association is pleased to announce that The Football Network (TFN) and SPIKE TV will showcase highlights from the 2003 National Women's Football Championship.

"Football 101," a new, 30-minute weekly series produced by TFN will premiere this Saturday, September 6, at 9:30 AM EDT/PDT on SPIKE TV.

SPIKE TV also presents "Fantasy Football 2003," which premiered last Saturday. Both programs will have repeat showings on SPIKE beginning at 2:00 AM EDT/PDT Sunday

"Football 101" will know no boundaries, neither pro nor college, in selecting topics, and will very much represent the wide range of football programming to be offered over the new cable network. The premiere episode, for example, will run a feature on the championship game of the Women's National Football Association, as well as a segment on the recent College Football Hall of Fame induction ceremony in South Bend, IN.

The premiere program will also feature predictions - college and pro - from TFN experts Jerry Glanville, Danny Sheridan and former all-pro defensive tackle D'Marco Farr, as well as Farr's reports from several pre-season training camps.
