Manchester Wolves News Release

MANCHESTER, N.H. (February 11, 2004) - The arenafootball2 league office announced today that

defensive specialist Allistair Sebastien and fullback/linebacker Ronnie Nicks have been assigned to the Manchester Wolves, New Hampshire's newest professional football team. Sebastien and Nicks both played starring roles on the Wolves' 2003 team that reached the second round of the af2 playoffs.

"Allistair and Ronnie are two players I'm excited about having here with us," Wolves Head Coach Rik Richards said. "These guys are super-talented, know how to play the game and know what it takes to win. They're going to be two of our leaders."

Sebastien, a two-year af2 veteran, led the Wolves last season in tackles (65), interceptions (6) and pass breakups (24). The 6-0, 200-pound defensive back's six interceptions also tied a team record for most interceptions in one season. Sebastien stood out for the Wolves in the 2003 postseason as well, recording a team-best 10.0 tackles and three pass breakups in two playoff contests. The Roosevelt, NY native also earned two ADT Defensive Player of the Game awards. In his rookie af2 season of 2002 with the New Haven Ninjas, Sebastien recorded four interceptions in just seven games, which tied him for the third highest total on the team. He also ranked sixth in tackles with 33.5 overall. Sebastien is a 2001 graduate of St. John's University.

Nicks was another strong defensive presence for the Wolves in 2003. The 6-2, 250-pounder played in 11 regular season games for the Wolves last season and registered 12.5 tackles and two sacks on defense. On offense, Nicks had eight carries on the season for 32 yards and one touchdown. The Kilgore, TX native also saw action in both postseason games for the Wolves. As a collegian, Nicks played in 29 games over his four-year career at Notre Dame from 1996-1999, finishing with 58 total tackles and two tackles for loss. He also started all nine games in which he appeared during his senior season of 1999.

The Wolves currently have 17 players officially on their training camp roster. Training camp begins on Thursday, March 18.
