Manchester Wolves News Release
MANCHESTER, NH (November 3, 2004) The official opening of the new front office for the Manchester Wolves arena football team is scheduled for Friday, November 5th. Former owner of McQuade's department store, Bill McQuade, and Manchester Mayor Bob Baines will be in attendance for the noon ribbon cutting ceremony for the remodeled 19th century building.
Developer Dick Anagnost, who is an owner of the Wolves, and has played a central role in the revitalization of downtown Manchester is very excited about the opening of the building. "People will get the opportunity to walk through the building and see how it has been restored." Anagnost added, "we have brought the building interior into the 21st century, while maintaining the storefront's historic exterior."
The Wolves are part of a group of businesses included in the grand opening. "The Chair Gallery" furniture store, "That Look" salon, "Little Saigon" Vietnamese restaurant, and "Xilox 1" shoe store will all hold their official grand opening at noon Friday.
When asked about the new location of the team front office at 848 Elm Street, Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella noted, " downtown Manchester is growing and expanding and we are very fortunate to have a central location on this beautiful street."
The former McQuade's department store building has a great history and many Manchester residents have memories of their youth tied to time spent there. The renovation will continue to bring life to the Elm Street marketplace for the next generation of Manchester.
Season ticket renewal is underway for the Wolves, and a priority list is being assembled for new season tickets as well. Don't miss your chance to be there for all of the excitement of the 2005 season!
