Wolves managing partner Steve Schubert honored by Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation

MANCHESTER,NH (March 17,2005) Steve Schubert, Wolves managing partner, former NFL player, and UBS Financial Services executive will be the Honorary Chair for the 4th Annual Granite Gala. This event will take place Saturday, March 19th at the C.R. Sparks Event Center in Bedford, NH. Proceeds from this event will be used to fund research to find a cure for juvenile diabetes.
" I am honored to be named the Honorary Chair for this event to fight juvenile diabetes," stated Schubert. He went on to say, "The more we as individual and corporate citizens can do to battle this debilitating disease, the sooner we can find a cure."
The 4th Annual Granite Gala will feature live and silent auctions. Items being auctioned off include a "meet and greet" with actor Matt Damon on the set of his upcoming film, a one week trip to Orlando, Florida including Disney passes, and concert tickets to many of the headliners appearing at the Verizon Wireless Arena in the near future. Early estimates expect the auctions and the Fund-A-Cure drive to exceed $200,000 to help fuel research for a cure.
"Steve Schubert is the perfect community leader to Chair this event," said JDRF representative Dina Metivier, "He is able to bring so many caring people out to help the fight against juvenile diabetes. We think he is just wonderful."
The 4th Annual Granite Gala will be hosted for the third year by WMUR-TV anchor Jennifer Vaughn. Many corporations and local companies have joined Schubert in support of JDRF.
