Sudbury Wolves News Release
(Greater Sudbury, ON) The Sudbury Wolves are pleased to announce that they will be hosting their 5th annual Superhero Game November 15th when the Oshawa Generals come to town. This year's superhero game is in support of the Children's Wish Foundation where the Wolves will don THOR themed jerseys.
"The Sudbury Wolves are very excited to be unveiling our 5th superhero jersey as Thor," said Miranda Swain-Boivin, SWSE Marketing Manager. "We have been able to make this an annual event to support children's charities and are pleased that it has become a fan favourite. We are excited to be able to partner with the Children's Wish Foundation this year who is trying to enhance their presence in the Greater Sudbury area."
"We're very happy to be partnering with the Sudbury Wolves on this special Superhero themed game and spread the message that the Children's Wish Foundation is here to service the families of the Greater Sudbury Region," said Jordan Carroll, Manager of Resource Development, Children's Wish Foundation. "As a 100% Canadian organization, using hockey and the Sudbury Wolves to spread our message makes a lot sense and we hope to grow our presence in the region as a result of this partnership."
The Sudbury Wolves were the first team in the CHL to wear superhero themed jerseys back in 2016 with Superman and have since worn Batman, Hulk and Spiderman themed jerseys, supporting various charities such as NEO Kids, Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer and Camp Quality.
The November 15th game is sponsored by St. Louis Bar and Grill who will be on-hand with prizes and giveaways for lucky fans! Fans are also encouraged to dress up as superheroes for the game for the chance to win prizes. Kids 12 and under who are dressed up as a superhero will receive admission at the door for $10. Thor themed t-shirts will be available for sale at the Official Team Shop with $5 going to the Children's Wish Foundation, while the game jersey will be available for auction throughout the game and select jerseys up for bid online at auction.chl.ca.
