Manchester Wolves News Release

Thursday, March 23, the Manchester Wolves (arenafootball2) will be holding their first-ever Fan Fest from 6-8 p.m. at the Hampshire Dome Sports Facility, next to the Hampshire Hills Athletic Club in Milford, N.H (www.hampshirehills.com). Fan Fest '06 is FREE to the public and will feature: the Manchester Wolves vs. the Albany Conquest in an hour long scrimmage, a performance from the Wolves' award-winning Dance Team and Blitz the mascot, games and activities for children, raffles and prizes galore plus much, much more!

All players and coaches from both the Conquest and Wolves will be available for autographs and interviews.

Fan Fest starts at 6:00 p.m. and is FREE to the public! The Wolves will take the field against the Conquest promptly at 6p.m. All members of the media are invited to attend.

The Wolves enter their third season in Manchester playing on Brady Sullivan Field at the Verizon Wireless Arena, and currently have 30 guys vying for the chance to make the 22-man 2006 roster. The scrimmage will be a very important piece to help form the 2006 roster as Coach Ben Bennett and staff will be evaluating their remaining talent.

"This will be a good opportunity for us to beat up on somebody else," said Bennett about the scrimmage. "It'll also be a good measuring stick to see how quickly we can gel, and allow us to weed out the guys on the bubble for our final cut. For both D. and Kyle, this is their opportunity to showcase their skills and distance themselves from each other in their battle for the starting quarterback role of this team for 2006. "

The Wolves are entering 2006 with high hopes under the direction of second-year Head Coach Ben Bennett. Bennett, an AFL Hall of Famer, transformed the Wolves from a 5-11 squad in 2004 into a 12-4 East Division champion in just one season . With his full coaching staff back on board, Bennett is looking forward to another successful season.

The 2006 Wolves season kicks off on Friday, April 7, vs. the Green Bay Blizzard at the Verizon Wireless Arena.
