Manchester Wolves News Release

MANCHESTER, N.H. (August 30, 2004) - The Manchester Wolves (arenafootball2) dance team finished their inaugural season victoriously, as the first-year squad was named third best dance team in the af2 last weekend in Estero, FL where the ArenaCup was being held.

The prestigious af2 award is the Wolves franchise's first since being in the league (2002). The 19-member team competed with 24 other squads around the af2 league ranging from Hawaii to here in Manchester, New Hampshire, and only fell short to the first place ShowSteelers (Birmingham Steeldogs), and the second place Sirens (Arkansas Twisters).

The squad is led by choreographer Heidi Sullivan-Laroche. Laroche, a former New England Patriots cheerleader, is the proud owner of Dance Visions Network in Manchester. The Manchester native has owned the business for the past 14 years. Another former Patriots cheerleader and area resident, Patty Vilela, also played a valuable role in the success of the team in her role as dance team coordinator.

"I'm definitely happy and excited for the girls," said Sullivan-Laroche. "They deserved to get rewarded for their time and efforts that they put into this season."

"I'm proud to receive this award on behalf of Heidi, Patty, and the entire dance team," said Wolves General Manager Angelo Mazzella. "They put in a lot of hard work and were a great presence for us not only on the field but in the community as well. I'm happy with this achievement because now they are recognized not only in the state of New Hampshire but throughout the country as well."

Tryouts for the Manchester Wolves 2005 dance team are tentatively scheduled for the final weekend of January at Dance Visions Network in Manchester.
