Wolfpack Return to the Coliseum Saturday

April 30, 2009 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Wisconsin Wolfpack News Release

The Wisconsin Wolfpack (4-2) return home to the Veterans Memorial Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Wolfpack will battle I-94 rivals, the Milwaukee Bonecrushers (2-4).

The Wolfpack had a bye week April 18 and then traveled to Rockford, Ill., to play the Rock River Raptors last week. The Wolfpack fell to the Raptors, 25-21. The team struggled without the services of quarterback Tom Stetzer, who is for the season with a shoulder injury.

The Bonecrushers lost to the Chicago Slaughter (7-0) at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Ill., last week, 78-25. The Bonecrushers lost their starting quarterback, Steve Lucas, for the season with a fractured clavicle.

The Wolfpack still have the top-ranked defense in the Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL). Running back Eric Donoval (UW-La Crosse) is the league's second leading rusher while kick returner Derrick Brown (Texas A&M) is one of the top returners.

Several players are also scheduled to appear at the Dick's Sporting Goods at West Towne Mall Saturday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The team will hold two drawings for free tickets for Saturday's game during the promotion.

Alpha, the team mascot, will be present to interact with fans. Fans are encouraged to stop by and meet some of the players, receive autographs, and talk football.

Tickets for the game can be purchased through Ticketmaster or the Alliant Energy Center ticket office.
