Wolfpack Host Raptors Saturday

The Wisconsin Wolfpack (2-1) host the Rock River Raptors (0-3) at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, April 4. The game begins at 7:00 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The Wolfpack enter the game in second place in the Continental Indoor Football League's (CIFL) Western Division. The team is coming off of an impressive 36-20 victory over division rivals, the Milwaukee Bonecrushers (1-2), last Saturday at the U.S. Cellular Arena in Milwaukee.
"Despite their record, the Raptors are a very solid team," said Wolfpack head coach Jordan Kopac. "Fans shouldn't look at the records. Football is decided by the players on the field."
The Raptors and Wolfpack last met on March 7 in Rockford. The Wolfpack led the entire game when, with ten seconds remaining, Raptors quarterback Brian Ryczkowski ran the ball in from five yards out for a touchdown. The two-point conversion failed and the Raptors led the Wolfpack 38-34.
Wolfpack kick returner Derrick Brown returned the ensuing kickoff to the Raptors 17-yard line. Quarterback Tom Stetzer found wide receiver Will Norwood on a 15-yard pass play to the Raptors two-yard line. The Wolfpack called a timeout with just 0.7 seconds remaining in the game.
The team took advantage of a uniquerule in the CIFL that allows either outside offensive lineman to be an eligible receiver. Stetzer connected with offensive lineman Mike Sherman as time expired, giving the Wolfpack the first win in franchise history, 40-38.
Stetzer was named CIFL Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts.
"The last time the teams met was one of the most exciting games that fans will see in the CIFL this year," said offensive coordinator Dave Mogensen. "We hope we can provide that kind of entertainment again this week at the Coliseum and hopefully we will come out on top again."
