WNBA announces Awards Weekend schedule

NEW YORK, September 23 –The WNBA Playoffs tipoff tomorrow evening with the Detroit Shock beginning defense of their 2003 championship versus New York at 8 pm ET on NBA TV. On Saturday, September 25 the WNBA will begin presenting its annual awards, which highlight the accomplishments of players and coaches during the regular season. "Awards Weekend" commences with the presentation of the Coach of the Year award and the Kim Perrot Sportsmanship Award on Sept. 25.

Following is a schedule of WNBA awards and announcement dates:
