Winter Meeting In Tampa A Success

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) has just concluded a successful meeting in Tampa, Florida covering a wide range of topics including ABA Global, entertainment, venue construction, media, merchandising, community programs, expansion, marketing and public relations. Hosted by Sports Equity Partners (SEP) near the proposed site of their new facility, "the meeting was awesome," stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. "The presentations made were beautifully prepared and I believe everyone in attendance came away truly inspired with the short-range and long-range plans for the league." Among the SEP initiatives are an ABA team in Tampa next season.

The American Basketball Association is the largest professional sports league in the US and also the most diversified with nearly 70% of its owners being African-American, Hispanic, Asian or women. Paul Monozca,

CEO of ABA Global, made the trip from Sinapore to attend the meeting. "We are making great progress with ABA Global; our goal for next season will include international players on many US-based ABA teams as well as placing full internatuional teams in the US to compete in the regular ABA schedule."

David South, CEO of Monolithic (www.monolithic.com) presented designs for new 3000-5000 seat venues for ABA teams throughout the country and abroad. "The designs were extraordinary," stated Dick Packer, ABA VP of Development and Operations. "Not only are they attractive and affordable, but they are very energy efficient also. The idea of domes with the red, white and blue ABA basketball throughout the country is very unique. It will make flying across country exciting when viewed from the air."
