
Winners Announced For August Fan Photo Contest

The International League is excited to announce that three fans have been chosen as winners of the August portion of the International League 125th Anniversary Fan Photo Contest. Hundreds of photos were entered for the August category of "Ballpark Promotions", and the three determined to be the very best were selected as the winners.
The grand prize winner for August is J. Zenner of Rochester, New York. J's photo of The Famous Chicken having fun with some youngsters during an appearance at Frontier Field will be published in the 2009 International League Record Book.
The first runner-up is Erika Bruckner of Scranton, Pennsylvania for her photo of a fireworks display high above PNC Field. The second-runner up is Lois Birkhimer of Raleigh, North Carolina for her photo from Durham's Negro League Night when fans got to meet former players from the Durham Rams, Eagles, and Black Sox.
The Fan Photo Contest has concluded for 2008. The winning photos from each month will be published in the 2009 International League Record Book and the winner will also receive a Kodak digital camera and four box seats to see their favorite International League team during the 2009 season. All winners will be awarded merchandise and memorabilia honoring the 125th Anniversary of the International League.
