Winners announced for $50,000 Shootout at championship game

Indianapolis, IN. The American Basketball Association (ABA) today announced the winners of the $50,000 SHOOTOUT to take place at the ABA Championship Game on Thursday night, March 29th. The shooters were selected from entries submitted via email and text messaging and will be flown to the game on Thursday (either to Burlington VT or Dallas TX) where they will have a chance to shoot for the $50,000 prize.
The winners are:
Matt Wiesner, Peoria, Illinois (22)
Abelicio Padilla, Grants, New Mexico (29)
Martin Ress, Oakland Park, Florida (41)
Brian Izard, Rochester, New York (44)
Craig Pintens, Milwaukee, Wisconsin (32)
If for any reason, one of the top five cannot attend or is ineligible because of contest rules, the following are the alternates:
Katie Daniel, Fayetteville, Arkansas (44)
Calvin Jenkins, Germantown, Maryland (23)
Kastytis Dugutis, Princeton, Illinois (32)
"The Championship game will be a terrific game, but this feature will certainly add to the drama and should be fun," stated Susan Douglas, ABA Shootout Coordinator.
