Aberdeen Wings News Release
Your Aberdeen Wings ended the exhibition season with a 3-1 win Saturday night over the Brookings Blizzard at the Odde Ice Center. After a scoreless 1st period Brookings was able to get on the board first with a goal early in the 3rd period. It looked as if they would go to the 2nd intermission with the 1-0 lead until Wings defenseman Dalton Weigel scored from the blue line with just seconds remaining. Joe Strada assisted on the goal. The 3rd period was all Aberdeen, as they received goals from Jack Powell at the 11:52 mark with Strada and Sicoly assisting. Finally Max Salpeter finished off the Blizzard with a goal assisted by Colton Huard. Matt Vernon was solid in net in the victory.
