The Wichita Wind Surge are excited to announce the organization's first-ever drone light shows, bringing a spectacular new postgame experience to fans on three consecutive days in September following the team's matchup against the Frisco RoughRiders.
Hundreds of synchronized drones will take to the sky, creating dazzling formations, animations and team-themed images above the ballpark. "We're always looking for new and exciting ways to entertain our fans, and this is definitely something they've never seen at our ballpark before," commented Matt Hamilton, Wind Surge General Manager. "We can't wait to see the sky light up with drones and fireworks and give our fans another reason to stick around after the final out and put a cap on our 2026 season."
The drone shows will feature custom imagery accompanied by music designed specifically for the evening and themes. While fireworks have long been a fan favorite, drone light shows offer a modern twist on the traditional postgame spectacle. Fans will not want to miss these shows and are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at windsurge.com or the box office at Equity Bank Park.
The Wind Surge host Arkansas next week from August 25-30th and then host Frisco in the final series of the 2026 season from September 8 - 13th.
