
Wilson to manage CBL East

Vancouver, B.C. â July 11, 2003 - The Canadian Baseball League is pleased to announce London Monarchs manager Willie Wilson has been named to lead the CBL Eastern Division All-Stars at the league's inaugural All-Star Game, July 23 at Burns Stadium in Calgary, Alberta.
Wilson, a 19-year veteran of Major League baseball, and a former All-Star and batting champ, has piloted his Monarchs to first place in the CBL's Eastern Division with a 15-10 record, 2 ½ game up on the second place Niagara Stars.
Wilson's coaching staff will consist of his fellow CBL East Division managers, Pete LaCock (Niagara Stars), Danny Norman (Trois-Rivieres Saints) and Gary Reonicke (Montreal Royales).
The CBL's first All-Star Game will pit the best of the CBL's Western Division versus the best of the Eastern Division. The game will be televised live on the Score Television Network.
All-Star Blast-Off is July 22, 2003 at Burns Stadium in Calgary. Fan Events start at 4:00 pm and include a celebrity home run derby, autograph sessions, special guests and events, with the CBL home run derby beginning at 7:00 pm.
Ticket prices for the All-Star Game are $20 for VIP, $15 for Club and $10 for General Admission. Admission to the All-Star Blast-Off is $5 for adults and $2 for kids 15 and under. All-Star Game tickets and All-Star Blast-Off tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets across Canada.
The CBL is pleased to announce an amateur baseball promotion for the event, the Future Stars Zone. For $8 youth baseball players receive a General Admission ticket in Section 23 - "The Future Stars Zone", one hot dog and one pop.
