Williams, Fontenette and Brackins Earn Weekly Honors

CHICAGO - San Jose SaberCats WR FRED WILLIAMS has been awarded Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week, while SaberCats DB KEN FONTENETTE has been named the Riddell Defensive Player of the Week and Philadelphia Soul WR LARRY BRACKINS has been named J. Lewis Small Playmaker of the Week for Week 14 of the 2013 NET10 Wireless Arena Football League season. In addition to these awards, the AFL is also awarding the Cutters Catch of the Week and AFL Highlight of the Week. Cleveland Gladiators WR DOMINICK GOODMAN earned the Cutters Catch of the Week, while Chicago Rush WR REGGIE GRAY was awarded the AFL Highlight of the Week.

RUSSELL ATHLETIC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Williams (6-0, 195, St. Cloud State) caught 10 passes for 121 yards and five touchdowns in San Jose's 72-42 victory over the Arizona Rattlers in Week 14. It was Williams' third straight game with at least one touchdown reception and his 10th consecutive contest with triple-digit all-purpose yards.

RIDDELL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK Fontenette (5-11, 190, Houston) collected 8.5 tackles, one tackle for loss, one fumble recovery and returned an interception for a touchdown in San Jose's 72-42 win over the Rattlers in Week 14. He leads the SaberCats with 70.5 tackles to go along with three interceptions and 13 pass breakups on the season.

J. LEWIS SMALL PLAYMAKER OF THE WEEK Brackins (6-5, 225, Pearl River CC) returned to the Soul lineup as a Jack linebacker in Week 14, hauling in the first two interceptions of his career in Philadelphia's 54-30 victory over the Iowa Barnstormers. The five-year veteran receiver flipped over to the defensive side of the ball after an injury in the Soul secondary on the third play of the game. Brackins finished the contest with seven tackles and will receive a timepiece crafted by J. Lewis Small for his efforts.

CUTTERS CATCH OF THE WEEK Goodman (6-1, 210, Cincinnati) went over the boards for his second touchdown catch of the game in Cleveland's 41-43 loss to the Jacksonville Sharks in Week 14. Goodman's catch put the Gladiators on top 34-30 midway through the fourth quarter. He will receive a Cutters hat and shirt in recognition of the catch.

AFL HIGHLIGHT OF THE WEEK Gray (5-10, 185, Western Illinois) fielded a lateral from Rush quarterback Carson Coffman and tossed a pass of his own to fellow receiver Jared Jenkins for a touchdown in Chicago's 50-49 victory over the Tampa Bay Storm in Week 14. The three-yard scoring strike was Gray's first career pass in the AFL.

Russell Athletic Offensive Player of the Week candidates included: Jacksonville's Jeron Harvey, Orlando's Prechae Rodriguez, Philadelphia's Ryan McDaniel, San Antonio's Jomo Wilson, Spokane's Brandon Thompkins and Tampa Bay's Randy Hippeard.

Riddell Defensive Player of the Week candidates included: Cleveland's LaRoche Jackson, Orlando's Marcus Everett, Philadelphia's Larry Brackins, San Antonio's Fred Shaw, Spokane's Terence Moore and Tampa Bay's Tremaine Johnson.

J. Lewis Small Playmaker of the Week candidates included: Chicago's Reggie Gray, Jacksonville's Jeff Hughley, Pittsburgh's Mike Washington, San Antonio's Brent Holmes, San Jose's Fred Williams and Spokane's Terence Moore.

The Arena Football League is also awarding the AFL MVP of the Week, where fans are given the opportunity to select the winner. Candidates include Cleveland DB LaROCHE JACKSON, San Jose DB KEN FONTENETTE and Spokane JLB Terence Moore. Fans will have 24 hours to vote on ArenaFootball.com beginning at 1 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 26. The winner will be announced on Thursday, June 27.
