Wilkie, Spinner, Dello, and Morris Earn USHL Weekly Honors

Chicago, IL - The United States Hockey League today announced the CCM Hockey player awards for the 25th week of the 2014-15 USHL regular season.

Winners include Chris Wilkie of the Tri-City Storm and Steven Spinner of the Omaha Lancers, named co-recipients of CCM Forward of the Week; Tory Dello of the Tri-City Storm, named CCM Defenseman of the Week; and Cale Morris of the Waterloo Black Hawks, selected as CCM Goaltender of the Week.

Chris Wilkie, F, Tri-City Storm: The 18-year-old recorded seven points (2g, 5a) and a plus-five rating to help the Storm win two of three games during the week. He netted his 30th goal of the season and dished out an assist in Tuesday's 6-1 victory against the Lincoln Stars. Wilkie then recorded an assist on all three goals for the Storm in Friday's 4-3 loss to Lincoln. He closed out the week with his third straight multi-point effort (1g, 1a) in Saturday's 5-3 win against the Omaha Lancers. The native of Omaha, Nebraska is currently riding a five-game point streak (4g, 5a) and is tied for 16th in USHL scoring with 46 points (31g, 15a) through 51 games, while his 31 goals lead the League. The product of the Omaha Lancers AAA youth program is committed to play college hockey at the University of North Dakota.

Steven Spinner, F, Omaha Lancers: The 2014 NHL Draft pick of the Washington Capitals registered six points (3g, 3a) and a plus-three rating over three games as the Lancers earned three of six points in the standings during the week. He equaled a USHL career high with three points (2g, 1a) in Wednesday's 4-2 win over the Fargo Force. After collecting an assist in Friday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Sioux Falls Stampede, the 19-year-old had his eighth multi-point effort (1g, 1a) of the season in Saturday's 5-3 loss to Tri-City. The goal was his 20th USHL career goal. Spinner has appeared in all 51 games this season for the Lancers and is third on the team in scoring with 36 points (18g, 18a). The product of Eden Prairie High School in Minnesota is committed to play college hockey at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Tory Dello, D, Tri-City Storm: The defenseman recorded three points (2g, 1a) and a plus-three rating during the three-game week for the Storm. He netted his first goal of the season in Tuesday's 6-1 win over Lincoln. After dishing out an assist in Friday's 4-3 loss to Lincoln, Dello scored the game-winning goal during the third period of Saturday's 5-3 victory against Omaha. The goal also extended his point streak to four games (2g, 2a). Through 48 games this season, the 18-year-old has produced 16 points (2g, 14a) and a plus-nine rating. The native of Crystal Lake, Illinois is a product of the Chicago Mission youth hockey program and is committed to play college hockey at the University of Notre Dame.

Cale Morris, G, Waterloo Black Hawks: The goaltender earns his third weekly honor after posting a 1.00 goals-against-average and .968 save percentage to lead the Black Hawks to a pair of victories. He made 34 saves in Friday's 4-2 victory against the Dubuque Fighting Saints to collect his 20th win of the season. The 18-year-old then stopped all 27 shots he faced in Sunday's 3-0 victory over the Sioux Falls Stampede to post his USHL-leading fourth shutout of the season. Morris is tied for third among League goaltenders with 21 wins and ranks third in both GAA (2.39) and SV% (.923). Since being acquired by Waterloo earlier in the season, the goaltender has posted a 13-3-3 record with a 1.57 GAA and .949 SV%. The native of Larkspur, Colorado is a product of the Colorado Thunderbirds youth program and has yet to make a college hockey commitment.
