Wichita Falls Wildcats News Release
WICHITA FALLS, Texas - The Wichita Falls Wildcats are pleased to announce the return of the annual Military Appreciation Night, presented by Wichita Falls Ford Lincoln, on Friday, Jan. 24 when the Wildcats host the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
Any person with valid military identification, including active and retired personnel and their families, and all Department of Defense employees will receive free admission to that night's game.
"We're in a military community here in Wichita Falls," said Roy Davoult, Wildcats part-owner. "We respect what those men and women do every day for us, going out to protect us and our country, and we really want to show our appreciation for all they do."
The Wildcats will wear custom-made, military-inspired jerseys in honor of the occasion, and will raffle them off following the conclusion of Friday's contest. This year's jerseys were designed by Wildcats Assistant Coach Chris Ceransky, who also designed the Breast Cancer Awareness jerseys worn by the Wildcats in October.
The Wichita Falls roster features five players who will attend the United States Air Force Academy, providing the Wildcats with a unique opportunity to celebrate the past, present and future of the United States Armed Forces.
Additionally, the Wildcats will still be offering discounts on select concessions as a part of the organization's continued 10th anniversary celebrations.
