Wichita Wild News Release

Wichita, KS. - The Wichita Wild is proud to welcome Jeremy Mock as their General Manager for the 2014 season. He replaces former Wild GM, John Blazek, who retired following three seasons with the team which ended in the Wild's first ever championship win.

Mock had this to say about his new position with the Wild:

I am extremely excited about the opportunities available with the Wichita Wild as the new General Manager. With the team coming off a 2013 CPIFL Championship and being named the 2013 CPIFL Franchise of the Year, it's even more of an exciting time to be coming into a top notch organization. I have been involved in Wichita professional sports from the beginning of my career and I feel learning from these experiences will help me to keep this team in tune with the cities of Park City and Wichita and continue to grow into South Central Kansas. The Wild has had a great representation in Wichita since their inception in 2007 and it is my plan to keep our presence strong locally and regionally, expand on the business side of the organization by seeking more corporate partners, and do our very best to fill Hartman Arena on a nightly basis with 4,000 plus screaming fans. Hartman Arena is already among the toughest, most electric places to play in the league and our goal is to make it even more difficult with the help of Wild Nation!

Wichita has a very unique opportunity with so many championship caliber teams such as the Wild, the Thunder, the Wingnuts and now the B-52s, that just about any time of the year you can be supporting a local professional sports team. My goal is that from the months of March through June, the Wichita Wild will be the number one choice of entertainment and fans will spend their evening at Hartman Arena enjoying the fastest pace football you will ever see. We have some of the best professional indoor football players in the CPIFL and even in the nation, so with several of those guys coming back, our goal on the field is to bring another Championship back to Wichita in 2014.

Previous to his start with the Wild, Mock served as the Assistant General Manager and Director of Ticket Operations for the Wichita Wingnuts, who made it to the 2013 American Association championship series before dropping in game four to the Gary Southshore Railcats earlier this month. Mock brings the Wild diverse sport experience in the Wichita market after working with the Wingnuts and Thunder for a combined eight years.

Mock graduated from Wichita State University in 2008 with a Sport Administration degree and currently resides in Wichita with his wife, Mallory and their son, Dylan.
