
Wild signs RW Clutterbuck

SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - Minnesota Wild President and General Manager Doug Risebrough announced Saturday that the National Hockey League (NHL) club has signed right wing Cal Clutterbuck to a three-year entry level contract.
Clutterbuck, 19 (11/18/87), recorded 89 points (35-54=89), 153 penalty minutes (PIM) and a +11 rating in 65 games with the Oshawa Generals of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) in 2006-07. The 5-foot-10, 203-pound forward ranked second on the team in assists and PIM and third in goals and scoring. He added 19 power play goals and ranked tied for third in the OHL with six shorthanded tallies during the regular season. Clutterbuck notched 13 points (8-5=13) in nine playoff games and led Oshawa with eight playoff goals including five power play markers and 21 PIM.
The Welland, Ontario-native totaled 202 points (93-109=202) and 501 PIM in 256 games during four seasons in the OHL with Toronto St. Michael's and Oshawa. Clutterbuck was selected by Minnesota in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.
