The Wildcats played a junior hockey version of "Let's Make A Deal" this week, bringing in three new players. On Tuesday, the team acquired forward Will Suter from Sioux City of the USHL. Suter, a native of Omaha, NE, led the country in assists at the Tier 1 Midget AAA level last year.

On Wednesday, the Wildcats bolstered their defensive corps by acquiring Joe Adams from Owatonna. Adams is a native of California, but is familiar with Texas hockey, having spent time with the Texas Tornado last season and early this season. He also played his midget hockey in the Dallas Stars AAA program.

The Wildcats finished off their wheeling and dealing over the weekend by adding another defenseman-Wade Bennett, previously of the BCHL's Surrey Eagles. Through 26 games with Surrey and the Coquitlam Express, he had two assists. Bennett was a midget teammate of Ryan Frost with the L.A. Kings AAA program. His brother, Beau, currently is a forward for the Denver University Pioneers, and a 2010 first-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Suter will be wearing #7, Adams #14, and Bennett #24.

Preview: 12/10-11 at Corpus Christi

Alumni Report

Dan Sexton is logging quite a few frequent flyer miles. After putting up points in three straight games, then going on a three-game streak with no points, the Anaheim Ducks sent the second-year winger back to Syracuse of the AHL. The Ducks have a bit of a logjam on the right wing with the return of Joffrey Lupul from a year-long absence, and Sexton ended up as the odd man out. This is his second trip back to Syracuse. He has five points in four games in the AHL this year.

Chad Costello picked up First Star honors on Friday for the Tulsa Oilers. Chad had two goals (one of which sent the game to overtime) and an assist in Tulsa's 5-4 victory over the Mississippi River Kings. So far he has 10 goals on the season, barely short of his total of 13 from all of last season.

Kyle Delaurell posted a hat trick on Saturday in Air Force's 7-6 come-from-behind win. He scored once in each period, including the game-tying goal with 4:05 left in regulation.

Cal Heeter picked up a win as Ohio State beat Michigan 3-2 in overtime on Friday. The Buckeye netminder stopped 28 of 30 shots in his 60 minutes in net.

Luke Salazar assisted on Drew Shore's game-winner as Denver beat Minnesota-Duluth in overtime on Friday. He is currently fourth on the team in scoring with 8 goals and 5 assists for 13 points.

Kyle Gallegos tallied another two goals for the Tufts Jumbos in a 5-4 win over New England College on Friday.

Joel Sauer scored three times and assisted on three others as Augsburg swept St. John's 6-3 and 4-2 on Friday and Saturday, respectively.

Eddie Effinger picked up a goal and an assist in Amherst's 6-1 win over St. Michael's on Saturday.

Ville Aman is currently fourth in scoring for Huddinge in the Swedish A-League. In 22 games, he has 8 goals and 14 assists for 22 points. Huddinge is first in their division with a 16-1-1-4 record (16 regulation wins, 1 overtime win, 1 overtime loss, 4 regulation losses).
