
WHL Hosts Alumni Golf Tournament and Annual General Meeting

Calgary, AB - The WHL hosted its 2nd annual Alumni Association golf tournament and Annual General Meeting this week in Calgary. On Monday, June 14th, The Links of Glen Eagles in Cochrane, Alberta, played host to the Alumni golf tournament which featured former players from the past three decades including Jordan Eberle, Cody Franson, Brandon Kozun, Jason Labarbera, Lanny McDonald, Brad Moran, Brantt Myhres, Tyler Myers, Chris Nielsen and JD Watt to name a few.
The WHL Alumni Golf tournament provided the group of past players the opportunity to re-connect with former teammates and fellow alumni members, as well as current owners, Governors, General Managers and corporate sponsors of WHL Clubs. All proceeds from the WHL Alumni Golf Tournament will be directed to new WHL Education Program initiatives.
The WHL Annual General Meeting was held on June 15th and 16th at the Calgary Marriott Hotel. The WHL Board of Governors consists of the owner/representative of the 22 WHL Member franchises. Governor and General Manager of the Kelowna Rockets Bruce Hamilton, was re-elected as the WHL Chairman of the Board for another two year period.
