Danbury Whalers News Release
The Danbury Whalers are home for a 2-game weekend set of games. The Danbury Whalers are home on Saturday, January 17th against the Danville Dashers and on Sunday, January 18th against the Watertown Wolves. Gametimes on Saturday is 7:35 pm and Sunday is 5 pm.
This weekend will be especially crucial as the Whalers are battling both Watertown & Dayton to hold onto the top spot. Danville's last trip to Danbury resulted in a weekend split of games. Watertown's last game in Danbury, they lost 6-0.
Saturday's promotion is First Responder's Night. In recognition and thanks for their service to the community, on this night First Responders will receive a complimentary ticket.
This night is sponsored by Noble Industrial Furnace, Monster Mini-Golf, and Industrial Automation.
There is zero cost to the First Responders and they can take advantage of this offer by registering with an email to the Whalers front office at hsorcher@thedanburywhalers.com

Sunday is also a Skate with the Whalers. After the game, join the Whalers players on the ice and skate with the team. Always a fun event.
This weekend will also feature four groups on the Whalers fundraising program. On Saturday -
St. Gregory the Great, South Street School in Danbury, Danbury High School Leo Club
Boy Scout Troop 58. Sunday is New Milford First Congregational Church.

Skate with the Whalers This Sunday After the Game
Rentals Available
This Sunday, January 18th, following the Whalers 5 PM game against the Watertown Wolves, fans will be invited onto the ice to skate with the Whalers players.
Traditionally after every Whalers home game the players sign autographs for the fans in the lobby, but for this game fans will have a chance to put on their skates and hit the ice with the favorite men in green.
The players will be available for pictures during this event as well. So put on your skates, bring your camera and head down to the Danbury Ice Arena for what is sure to be a great event.
Fans looking to rent skates that day, can pick up a pair at the Danbury Ice Arena for $4 at the skate rental desk at the arena.

Danbury Whalers to Host Job Fair - January 22nd
The Danbury Whalers will be hosting an Inaugural Job Fair at Danbury Ice Arena. The first event will take place on Thursday, January 22, before and during the Whalers game that begins at 7:35 PM.
Job seekers bringing a resume on January 22 will be given a complimentary ticket to that night's 7:35 PM contest courtesy of Northwestern Mutual. The fair will commence at 11 am and when gates open to the general public at 6:35 PM.
A high turnout of companies from the greater Danbury/Fairfield County area will be in attendance at the job fair and participating in on-site interviews. Companies have job opportunities in a variety of fields, including medical, insurance, retail, sales, customer service, and many more.
