Dropping the Puck on Saturday 5th Seasson Gets Underway
Faceoff at 8 pm vs. Watertown
The Danbury Whalers are getting ready to drop the puck in the 5th season of Federal Hockey League action this Saturday, October 18th at 8 PM against the Watertown Wolves at the Danbury Ice Arena.
This game is sure to feature plenty of excitement with new promotions, some old favorites, plenty of giveaways, plus a Hall of Famer & Heisman Trophy winner in attendance.
Former Dallas Cowboys running back #33 Tony Dorsett will be attendance. Tony appearance is brought to you by Bruce Bennett Nissan.
After the game before to stop by Two Steps Downtown Grille for the season opening Post Game Party. Entertainment after the game will feature The Zambonis. If you've never heard the Zambonis be sure to check them out. They have performed all over the globe as well as at the 2002 NHL All-Star Game and 2014 NCAA Frozen Four. Click here for a preview.
The Whalers have never lost a Home Opener.

Heisman Trophy Winner, Hall-of-Famer, Super Bowl Champion Tony Dorsett to Attend Opener

This Saturday, October 18th at 8 pm the Danbury Whalers will take on the Watertown Wolves in their Home Opener for the 5th Federal Hockey League season. As part of the night there will be a special appearance you won't want to miss.
Making his 2nd appearance at a Danbury Whalers game will be Heisman Trophy Winner, Super Bowl Champion, and member of the NFL Hall of Fame - Tony Dorsett.
The last time he attended, the Whalers captured the 2012-13 FHL Championship vs. Dayton. Dorsett is attending the game as a guest of Bruce Bennett Nissan.
Dorsett is in the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

The Zambonis To Play Post Game Party at Two Steps Downtown Grille
Saturday, October 18th when the Danbury Whalers take on the Watertown Wolves it is sure to be rocking before and during the game. Now it is guaranteed to be rocking after as well.

Whalers & City of Danbury Reach Agreement on Security
Today at the Danbury Ice Arena, the Danbury Whalers and City of Danbury officials announced the reaching of an agreement for the security & public safety policies for the 2014-15 Danbury Whalers hockey season. The team and city officials look forward to working together.
