The Federal Hockey League in partnership with McMorran Place Arena and Sports Business Consulting, LLC announce today that a neutral site, regular season league game will be played at the McMorran Place Arena in downtown Port Huron, MI on Saturday night, January 31, 2015 at 7:30 pm. The Danbury (CT) Whalers will take on the Danville (IL) Dashers. The Whalers were FHL Champions in 2012-13 and have appeared in the league finals in each of the last three seasons.
Reserved tickets will be on sale at 10:00 am on Friday, October 31st, 2014 at the McMorran Place Box Office, all Ticketmaster outlets and www.ticketmaster.com. Tickets may also be ordered by phone by calling the McMorran Place Box Office at (810)985-6166.
Prices are $10 and $15 with special discounts for kids 12-under, groups of 10+ and military with valid ID.
(7) Ice level suites will also be offered as well as event sponsorship.
The Federal Hockey League (FHL) is a Single "A" Minor Professional Hockey League that aims to develop young professional players whom are looking to move up the ranks to the ECHL ("AA") and AHL ("AAA"). Players are typically between the ages of 21-26 years of age and have recently graduated from CHL, NCAA and Tier 2 Canadian Junior programs.
Entering its 5th season of operation, the Federal Hockey League is one of five professional leagues in the United States. The FHL has promoted over 150 players to various professional leagues including the AHL, ECHL, CHL, & European Leagues. The FHL currently has teams located in Danbury (CT), Dayton (OH), Watertown (NY), Danville (IL), and Southwestern Pennsylvania.
