The Danbury Whalers are home this weekend. The club is action on Friday, December 20th and Satuday, December 21st. This weekend it will be another Battle for first place as the Danbury Whalers and Dayton Demonz meet up on Friday. Saturday, the 20th the Danville Dashers are in town for some Federal Hockey League action. Faceoff for both games is 7:35 PM.

Friday night is the return of the Zumba Sensation Girls. You won't want to miss this show. It's got rhythm, beat, shaking, snapping, and twerking.

Saturday night one fan can drive home with a 2014 Nissan Pathfinder from Bruce Bennett Nissan. You have to make 15 goals in 20 seconds, it's tough, but it can be done. Click on the Whalers website to sign up.

Saturday night is also a Clothing and Toy Drive to benefit Family and Children's Aid of Danbury. Please bring a new unwrapped toy or item of clothing.

Be sure to eat at Two Steps Downtown Grille before the game. Try the Big Juicy Danbury Whalers Burger - It's fantastic.

Park in the Patriot Garage across the street from the Danbury Ice Arena. It's safe, secure, and legal. Make sure the only ticket you get is to the game.

While at the game stop in to The Cookhouse Penalty Box Lounge for a Pulled Pork Sandwich.

Friday, December 20th - Michaels II in Danbury on 30 South Street

Saturday, December 14th - Two Steps Downtown Grille on 5 Ives Street.

Danbury Whalers to Host 2nd Annual Scout Sleepover

For the 2nd consecutive season, the Danbury Whalers have put together and exciting promotion for members of the scouting world. On Saturday, January 11th, the Danbury Whalers will be holding a Boy and Girl Scout Sleepover event at the Danbury Ice Arena, following the Whalers game against the Dayton Demonz.

Whether you're a seasoned camping veteran or participating for the first time, the Boy and Girl Scout Sleepover event will be fun for the whole family.

The event breaks down as follows:

Scouts, Scout leaders, and their families can purchase tickets to the Whalers game

During the game, Scouts will be invited onto the ice to present the colors during the National Anthem

Following the game:

Scouts can set up their camp site/tent in the arena and lockerroom in the designated areas

There will be a schedule of activities throughout the night including:

Ice skating

An in arena scavenger hunt

Movies

All Scouts will receive a participation badge/patch which meets all BSA and GSUSA requirements

The following morning a light breakfast will be included

Cost for the event is $9 for Scouts and $14 for adults

The event is open to both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts

4th Annual Holiday Party

This Wednesday

The Danbury Whalers 4th Annual Holiday Party is tomorrow Wednesday, December 18th.

The party will be held from 7 - 9 pm and is in the team's locker room on the 2nd floor.

There will be plenty of food and entertainment, but if you have a special dish or beverage, feel free to bring it.

The event is open to all Whalers fans of any age.
