Whale Pick Up 10th Win Of The Season Vs. New York, Now Have 20 Points

Danielle Ward scored two second period goals in the span of five minutes and Jaimie Leonoff made 32 saves as the Whale picked up their 10th win of the NWHL season over the New York Riveters.

Shiann Darkangelo scored 2:05 into action Saturday night at Yale's Ingalls Rink, where the Whale honored former Bulldog Mandi Schwartz. Kelli Stack's third period goal was the game-winner.

Brooke Ammerman and Janine Weber scored for the Riveters. Goaltender Nana Fujimoto made 24 saves on 28 shots.

Both teams return to action tomorrow afternoon as the Whale host Buffalo at Chelsea Piers - Connecticut, while the Riveters travel to Boston for a meeting with the Pride.
