
WHA2 announces All-Star auctions

CELEBRATION, Fla. â The World Hockey Association 2 (WHA2) today announced that there will be a silent auction at the Inaugural WHA2 All-Star Game taking place on January 27 at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena. Puck drop is 7:05pm.
All WHA2 teams will have several unique autographed items up for bid in a silent auction including autographed Orlando Seals David Goverde skates, a Macon Trax team-signed helmet, and a Lakeland Loggerhead Chris Cerrella autographed practice jersey. Other team items such as sticks, pucks, t-shirts and jerseys will also be available to bid on.
A game-worn, autographed New-England Whalers Jeff Brubaker jersey will also be up for auction with the proceeds to benefit the Asheville Aces Hockey 4 Kids program. The Asheville Aces are the WHA2's first expansion team set to take the ice for the 2004 â 2005 season.
"The WHA2 All-Star Game is a great opportunity for hockey fans and collectors of hockey memorabilia to bid on some great hockey items." WHA2 Co-Chairman of the Board David Waronker said.

The WHA2 has six member teams for the 2003 â 2004 season: the Alabama Slammers, Jacksonville Barracudas, Lakeland Loggerheads, Macon Trax, Miami Manatees, and Orlando Seals. Every game is broadcast on www.irn.fm.
