West Texas Whirlwinds Schedule First Tryout Camp

Published on July 21, 2008 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release

Midland, TX. The West Texas Whirlwinds have announced that their first tryout camp will be held July 26-27 at Permain High School in Midland, Texas with a second camp shortly thereafter.

According to Cleveland Phelps, owner of the ABA West Texas Whirlwinds, "This will be an unusual tryout camp. Each player will participate in three games as well as slam dunk and three point shooting contest with cash prizes. We will get a chance to see the players in action as the tryout will be in front of team sponsors and Whirlwind fans. We are looking for 30 players to take to veterans camp in September."

The cost of the tryout will be $100; it is a great opportunity.
