Midland, TX. The ABA West Texas Whirlwinds will kick off their drive to opening day of the season with a Free Youth Clinic on Saturday, August 14th. The date will also kick off the team's Back-to-School Drive at which they'll be collecting school supplies for the youth in the area. According to Cleveland Phelps, team owner, "This is our way of showing our support for the community and these are the first of many programs we have planned for this summer and fall." Posters are being displayed around town and complete details of upcoming events will be posted also.
