West Edmonton Mall Helps FC Edmonton Kick Off the 2014 Season

EDMONTON, AB (April 1, 2014) - FC Edmonton Pro Soccer Club head into their fifth year of operations in 2014 and look to kick it all off in partnership with West Edmonton Mall.

On Sunday, April 6, FC Edmonton will celebrate the club's milestone season by publicly displaying the fifth anniversary kit along with merchandise fashion show, player autograph session and ticket package pick-up for Season Ticket and Flex Pack purchasers.

Fans will be able to see it all at West Edmonton Mall's HMV Sound Stage at 12:00 p.m., 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. Season Ticket and Flex Pack owners will be able to pick up their 2014 tickets anytime between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

"The Eddies are extremely pleased with the new look that the Club is bringing to the upcoming 2014 pro soccer season," explains Rod Proudfoot, general manager of FC Edmonton. "Working with the iconic West Edmonton Mall to help show soccer fans some of these new and exciting elements that the Eddies are unveiling is a great way to kick off our 2014 season."

At 5.3 million square feet, West Edmonton Mall is easily the size of a small city in Edmonton's west end. WEM is home to more than 800 stores, 100 dining venues, two hotels and 10 world-class attractions including a water park and amusement park. The Mall's average yearly visitation is approximately 30.8 million, which makes WEM the province's top tourist attraction.

FC Edmonton season ticket holders will be keen to pick up their 2014 season tickets as the season beings Saturday, April 19 when FC Edmonton take on the 2013 North American Soccer League (NASL) Champions New York Cosmos at 7:00 p.m. MT in Clarke Stadium.

Fans will also be able to purchase single match-day tickets starting on April 7, 2014 by visiting www.fcedmonton.com or by calling 780.700.2600. Tickets start at just $10 in the YMCA Family Fun Zone - to purchase Family Fun Zone tickets, please visit one of the four Edmonton YMCA locations.
