NAHL - Blain Showcase Results

MAINE 2 | ODESSA 1

The Maine Nordiques won their first game of the NAHL Showcase in dramatic fashion. Odessa got on the board first in the second period with a nifty shot on an odd man rush from Aeden Drossos. The Nordiques responded in the third period as Noah Kane netted his third goal of this season. The game would need extra time to get settled and took almost the entire extra frame. Sam Harris broke out of the corner with the puck had a clean shot and roofed the game winner with less than 1 second on the clock. Connor Androlewicz stopped 23 of 24 shots for the win.

NEW MEXICO 2 | MAINE 5

Makem Demers and the Nordiques started right where they left off from the night before by making it 1-0 only 3 minutes into the first period. New Mexico would answer though and tie the game at 1. The Nordiques could not stand for the game being tied so they tied it up just 20 seconds later with Tyler Harvey's first goal of the season. Demers added his second off the game and his third goal of the year to go up 3-1 in the second period. In the third New Mexico potted a powerplay goal to get within one. That woke up the Nordiques though, as they added two quick goals to go up 5-2. Avery Sturtz stopped 20 of 22 shots to earn the victory in between the pipes.

ST. CLOUD 5 | MAINE 3

Ryan Green of the St. Cloud Blizzard netted a hat trick en route to handing the Nordiques their first loss of the showcase. Nordiques fell in a hole first being down 2-0 early. Nordiques battled back with goals from Cannon Green and Noah Kane to tie the score at 2. Again, the Nordiques were forced to come back and tie it up being down 3-2, Isaiah Fox added a goal right before the end of the second to tie the score. Unfortunately, St. Cloud scored twice more to end the game at a score of 5-3.

MAINE 2 | ST. CLOUD 5

The Nordiques started in a 3-0 hole in the first ten minutes and were forced to battle back. Noah Kane managed to pot one in on the powerplay as well as Tyler Harvey to give the Nordiques two goals. Chippewa never looked back after scoring early and finished off the Nordiques with a final score of 5-2.
