Brookings Blizzard News Release
The Blizzard will be on the road for the second weekend in a row as they head North for three games in three days.
Thursday and Friday night the Blizzard will be in Bismarck to take on the Bobcats. It will be the fourth and fifth straight game between the two teams in the last three weeks, the Bobcats getting the best of the Blizzard in the last three contests.ÃâàOn Saturday the Blizzard will travel up the road for the third and final game of the weekend against the Minot Minotauros.ÃâÃÂ
Bismarck has proved to be a throne in the side of the Blizzard this season in more ways than one. The Bobcats have a 7-1 record against the Blizzard this season and in the last three games the two teams have combined for 187 penalty minutes on 56 infractions, 90 minutes and 31 penalties coming in a 7-2 Bobcats victory last Saturday in Bismarck.ÃâÃÂ
The Blizzard will look to get back on track in the win column this weekend as they battle for a playoff birth down the stretch. The Blizzard are currently in fifth place with the top four teams making it to the post season. With three games this weekend and just 4 points behind Minot in the stands, this weekend could provide some important momentum for the rest of the season.ÃâàMinot will host Bismarck on Sunday after playing the Blizzard on Saturday.ÃâÃÂ
The Blizzard are 3-1 against the Minotauros this season, with eight more games on the schedule. The final playoff spot could come down to the last two weeks of the season when the Blizzard travel to Minot for two games March 21st and 22nd and host Minot on March 28th and 29th.ÃâÃÂ
Watch all three games live on Fasthockey.com, or listen to Friday and Saturday's games on 107.1 The Hawk. Puck drops Thursday and Friday at 7:15pm and Saturday at 7:35pm.
