Rhinos Without a Charge:

The Rhinos have collected one point in their last 15 games. They come into Wichita Falls on a 0-14-0-1 streak, with their previous victory coming on January 15th against the Warriors in El Paso.

In our last ten, the Wichita Falls Warriors have been streaking up the division, with a record of 8-1-0-1, taking three of four points last weekend in Corpus Christ to have 56 points on the season.

No Trap Games:

Warriors can not overlook the last-placed Rhinos this weekend as the South Division's race for the playoffs squeezes ever tighter.

The race for the final playoff positions look like this going into the weekend:

1st New Mexico Ice Wolves: 71 pts

2nd Lone Star Brahmas: 66 pts

3rd Wichita Falls Warriors: 56 pts

4th Shreveport Mudbugs: 53 pts

5th Odessa Jackalopes: 53 pts

6th Amarillo Wranglers: 49 pts

7th Corpus Christi: 48 pts

8th El Paso Rhinos: 30 pts

Shreveport has a game in hand over the Warriors but trails by three points, with a final meeting between both teams being March 23rd in the Kay Yeager Coliseum, with significant implications toward seeding.

Leading the Way:

The Rhinos have four rookies as their top-5 leading scorers, led by Jonathan Horn. He is their top scorer, with 38 points, and leads the team in both goals and assists in his 47 games.

Fellow Rhino rookies Jan Olgensinski and Jack Anderson are second and third in leading scoring. Both defensemen are setting up goals from the blue line with their assists.

The Arizona State University commit, Ryan Robinson, has tallied 44 points this season. The Warriors forward has 47 games, with 18 goals and 26 assists.

William Lawson-Body trails behind with 42 points in 40 games, putting him just over a point per game, and he has been solid in the face-off dots. Joseph Harguindeguy is the third leading scorer with 34 points and always tends to find a way to come up big in every game.

Season Series:

The Warriors lead the season series three games to one. The lone loss coming in a 5-2 contest January 15th in El Paso after blanking the Rhinos 8-0 the night before.

It has been exactly a month since these two teams have met last. The Warriors dominated both games with a 6-1 and a 3-0 victory in the Kay Yeager Coliseum. Both Warriors goaltenders were able to snag themselves wins, with Danial Duris collecting a shutout in his performance on night two.

This Weekend:

We celebrate Hockey Fights Cancer this weekend, with proceeds going toward Women Rock and their wonderful cause.

We will be doing a silent auction for a game-worn, signed jersey on Friday night, with a live jersey auction on Saturday for our Hockey Fights Cancer jerseys that will happen right after the game.
