Week Six: Players of the Week

The Indoor Football League announced its week six Players of the Week on Wednesday, June 2, with all three players earning their first nod. Tucson Sugar quarterback Demry Croft, Sioux Falls defensive back Jordan Baldwin and Iowa Barnstormers kicker Nathan Criswell performed for their teams in week six.

DEMRY CROFT - OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Quarterback Demry Croft showed his dual-threat ability with Tucson in week six. Croft completed 59.1% of his passes for 103 yards and four touchdowns through the air. Croft was also a threat in the run game with 15 rushes for 67 yards and one touchdown. Croft help lead the Sugar Skulls to a 55-35 victory over the Duke City Gladiators and improve their record to 1-1.

JORDAN BALDWIN - DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Defensive back Jordan Baldwin led the charge for the Storm's defense. Baldwin had three solo tackles and nine tackles total along with one breakup and a clutch interception late in the game. Baldwin came up with an interception with 2:21 left in the game and returned it 23 yards for touchdown to extend Sioux Falls lead, 49-35. Baldwin and the Storm were able to hold off the Louisville Xtreme, 49-43, and improve to 2-1 on the year.

NATHAN CRISWELL - SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Kicker Nathan Criswell made key plays for the Barnstormers. Criswell knocked in one field goal and was 4-of-6 on extra points. Criswell kicked a perfectly placed onside kick that the team recovered with 1:51 left in the fourth quarter and ultimately sealed the game, 49-42.

Croft and the Sugar Skulls will host Criswell and the Barnstormers in week seven on Saturday, June 5, at 8:05 p.m. CT. Baldwin and the Storm will look to extend their two-game winning streak to three as they travel to face the Bismarck Bucks on Saturday, June 5, at 6:05 p.m. CT.
