CIFL Offensive Player of the Week

Jamil Porter, Rochester Raiders

Porter was signed midweek to replace the injured Reggie Cox and had a huge hand in helping the Raiders to a 77-40 victory over the New England Surge.

The Temple University product rushed for 137 yards and three touchdowns on 16 carries. He carried five times for 23 yards on the game's opening drive, capping it off with a one-yard dive on fourth down to make it 7-0.

He would go on to add two more rushing scores, one from eight yards out and the second from 17 yards away.

CIFL Defensive Player of the Week

Eddie Bynes, Port Huron Pirates

Bynes helped his team to back-to-back victories with outstanding defensive performances in both games. The first win over Rochester 62-30 and the second a 54-7 trouncing of Miami Valley.

In the first game, Bynes recorded six tackles, including three for loss, and three sacks against Rochester. He also had a forced fumble, which led to a safety.

Against Miami Valley, he recorded four tackles (1.5 for loss) and 1.5 sacks. He also had a fumble recovery, which he returned for a 16-yard touchdown.

CIFL Special Teams Player of the Week

T.R. Dues, Steubenville Stampede

Dues played a big role in the Steubenville's opening game 70-3 victory over the New York/New Jersey Revolution.

In the special teams department, Dues answered the Revs' only score by returning the kickoff for a 48-yard touchdown. For the game, Dues returned both Rev kickoffs for a total of 68 yards. He also returned a missed field goal 32 yards for the Stampede.

Offensively, Dues had two catches for 59 yards and a score.
