What to Look Out For
The Quest to 100 Wins
After the win against the Chesapeake Bayhawks, the New York Lizards hold 97 regular season wins throughout their 15-year history and remain undefeated through the 2015 season. Three more wins will bring them to the 100-win milestone.
Career Milestones
During the game against the Boston Cannons, Paul Rabil broke his 200th career goal. In a previous game this season, Rabil also passed his 150 assists milestone. Rabil stands 12 points away from reaching his 400 point. These statistics include all regular season and playoff games played in the MLL.
Coaches' Notes
Head Coach Joe Spallina on preparing to play the Hounds: "This is the MLL and these are the best players in the world. It's tougher for us to prep for them - we're not sure if they're bringing in new guys or what their lineup is going to be. We'll use this weekend's walk-through to decide how we'll defend and attack."
On injured players: "Hartzell has a bit of a nagging side bruise but he's 100% this week. We are excited to get him back to full-speed for Saturday's game. Duprey will most likely return on the 20th versus Charlotte. His time on the PUP list was extended due to league regulations."
In regards to the rookies: "Some of them can help us. They can certainly give us a jolt in some spots."
Looking Ahead
The Lizards will play their next home game against the Florida Launch on Friday, June 5th. Head out to James M. Shuart Stadium for a 7:30 P.M. game. The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive exclusive Lizards player cards.
