Week 7 Players of the Week Named
January 10, 2024 - Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) News Release
The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the Week 7 Players of the Week winners.
Reigning MASL MVP Nick Perera of the Tacoma Stars notched three goals and four assists to earn himself Offensive Player of the Week honors for the first time this season. In the Stars win over Utica, Perera recorded the game-winning goal and a short-handed goal. Perera leads the league in both points and assists.
Defensive Player of the Week honors are credited to Ismael Rojo of the Monterrey Flash. Rojo scored three goals including a game-winning goal during the Flash's two Week 7 wins. He also recorded eight blocks.
William Banahene of the Milwaukee Wave put up an incredible 27 saves in their win against the visiting Utica City FC squad. Through seven games Banahene boasts his highest save percentage in his MASL career at .726%.
