
Week 6 Players of the Week Named

The Major Arena Soccer League (MASL) announced today the winners of the Week 6 Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week awards. Nick Perera of the Tacoma Stars earns offensive honor while Hugo Silva is once again the Defensive Player of the Week.
Nick Perera played for seven goals and three assists over two games. He is now tied for the league lead in both points and goals. His stellar effort on Sunday earned him a place in the Tacoma Stars record book for highest point and goal total. The final goal of the marked his 200th career regular-season point as a Tacoma Star. Tacoma hosts the Comets on Sunday evening in a Central/West mash-up game.
Hugo Silva earns the Defensive Player of the Week honors after registering 15 saves and only two goals allowed securing the win for Florida on Sunday. He is now second in the league in save percentage with a rating of .793, second in wins with four, and has 73 saves amassed this season. Silva and the Tropics host the Harrisburg Heat on Friday night and Sunday afternoon.
