NEED TO KNOW
WILDCATS
The Wildcats got off the schneid with an impressive takedown of previously the unbeaten DC Defenders, but they could use a road win to keep pace in the West.
QB Josh Johnson (463 yards, 5 TDs in two starts) was incredibly efficient against the Defenders, averaging 11.1 yards per attempt and tossing three touchdowns. WR Tre McBride turned in one of the league's best games this season with 109 receiving yards and two scores; monitor the thigh injury that left him limited in practice.
DT Boogie Roberts and DE Shawn Oakman spend plenty of time in opposing backfields and should give New York fits.
GUARDIANS
Getting back on track is Mission 1 for the slumping Guardians. New York has struggled offensively, especially through the air, totaling just nine points during its two-game skid.
QB Matt McGloin (thorax injury) didn't play in the second half last week and has been limited in practice. Backup QBs Marquise Williams and Luis Perez are both in play to see at least partial time in Week 4.
The Guardians may rely on the ground attack more. RBs Darius Victor and Tim Cook combined to rush for 100 yards on 19 carries last week, an average of 5.3 yards per attempt.
