GAME NOTES

The Blaze are currently 1-0 in the season series after using last-minute heroics from Shayne Jackson to edge out the Lizards 12-11 in the July 7th battle at Grady Stadium. They prepare to take on Rob Pannell and a New York team that should be eager to get back into the win column after losing to the Rattlers in Texas. Jackson continued his strong play in Week 10, totaling four goals and one assist against Boston and earning honors as the Week 10 Warrior Player of the Week.

Atlanta continues to be lethal with its passes and have racked up an absurd 71.78% GWA through 163 goals scored- meaning that 117 out of their 163 goals this season have come off of assists. Much of the heavy lifting has come from attackmen Tommy Palasek and Randy Staats who are currently first and second in assists in the MLL. The Blaze will take on New York before traveling home to Silverbacks Stadium to take on the first-placed Chesapeake Bayhawks.

RECORD BOOK

Another record may go down this weekend, as Randy Staats and Tommy Palasek are three and two assists away respectively from breaking the Blaze single-season assist record of 26.
