WBA Player Allocations for 2005 Season

March 14, 2005 - World Basketball Association (WBA) News Release


The World Basketball Association (WBA) allocates Louis McCullough, a 6-6 Forward from Francis Marion University to the South Carolina Heat. McCullough, who hails from Goose Creek, SC, also played at Fork Union Military Academy. He averaged 14.7 ppg in his senior season and was instrumental in leading FMU to a 27-4 record in the 2003-04 season.

The World Basketball Association (WBA) allocates Charleston Long, a 6-6 Forward from University of South Carolina-Upstate to the South Carolina Heat. Long, led Upstate to a share of the 2004-5 Peach Belt Conference regular season championship and to a 63-59 first round win over Winston-Salem in the NCAA Division II National Tournament, before losing 85-67 to Virginia Union. USC-Upstate finished the season with a 24-8 overall record.

The World Basketball Association (WBA) allocates Yandel Brown, 6-0 guard from Columbus State University, to the Macon Blaze. Brown was named the PBC Player of the Year. Brown set PBC records for points scored in a season and scoring average as he exploded for 735 points, 28.3 ppg. He led the nation for much of the season in scoring and was also nationally-ranked in three-pointers made per game. The senior from Eastman, Ga. is 10th on the PBC All-Time career scoring list with over 1,400 points in two seasons.

The World Basketball Association (WBA) allocates Wesley Duke, 6'5" 225lb Forward from Mercer University, to the Macon Blaze. Duke helped lead Mercer to a 16-12 record, while averaging 11.7 pts and 7.2 rebounds per game.

The World Basketball Association (WBA) allocates Mike Dean, 6'2" Shooting Guard from Middle Tennessee State, to the Rome Gladiators. Dean, a Rome, Ga native averaged 14.4 ppg this during his senior season, while helping to guide MTSU to a 19-12 record.

The World Basketball Association (WBA) allocates Sylvester Morgan, 6'10" C from Georgia State University to the Rome Gladiators.
