At the 5:27 mark of the second period, Oatley registered his first professional goal to make it 6-0 in favor of Milwaukee. While on the power play at 8:16, Philadelphia got itself on the board when Myers scored a ball from midfielder Ricardinho, hanging a 6-2 count. The final knock of the opening half was scored off the foot of Wave midfielder Kyle Lance, and the score at halftime was 8-2 with the home team leading.

First, defender Kevin Coleman scored a Shawn Boney restart ball for his first professional goal at 2:15, and forward Adauto Neto set up a Semir Mesanovic notch at 3:22. The assist for Neto extended his point streak to 18 consecutive games. The Wave was then able to answer back on goals from Oatley and Fontana, and a score of 12-6 took the two sides into the fourth frame.
