This will be Paul Gait's last Professional Game in Canada, and will be played on he and his twin brothers Birthday; they will be 35 years old. Paul, who is retiring after this season, has won the NLL Most Points and Most Goals Titles for the 2001-2002 Regular Season. Paul has been named, along with his brother Gary and teammate Paul Cantabene, to the NLL All Star Game in the end April.

The National Lacrosse League has expanded to include a total of 13 franchise teams, now spanning to both coasts. The Power is part of the Eastern division and is joined by New Jersey, New York and Philadelphia. In addition, the playoff format has expanded from four to six teams. The Power are lead on the field this season by Gary and Paul Gait, two of the greatest players to ever play, as well as local lacrosse stars Josh Sims, Brian Reese and Kip Fulks. On the Bench is Head Coach Darris Kilgour, who returns after leading the Power to the NLL Semi-Finals last year, in his first season as a head coach.
