
Washington Kastles Extend Win Streak to 28 with 21-16 Win over New York Sportimes

The Washington Kastles extended their consecutive win streak to 28 matches with a 21-16 victory over the New York Sportimes tonight. The Kastles, who won the 2011 World TeamTennis title with a 16-0 record, have not lost a WTT match since July 22, 2010. Washington has won their first 12 games of the 2012 WTT season. The Kastles have the second longest pro sports win streak in history with 28 consecutive wins. The longest pro sports team win streak is 33 games, held by the NBA's 1971-72 Lakers.
The Kastles are the top seed for the World TeamTennis Finals Weekend presented by GEICO, set for September 14-16, in Charleston, S.C. The remaining three teams for Finals Weekend have yet to be decided. The regular season for the WTT Pro League presented by GEICO runs through July 28.
